Games Developed Inclusively

We’ve paired world-class game-makers with Alaska Native storytellers and elders to create a series of games that delve deeply into the traditional lore of the Iñupiat people to present experiences like no other.

The stories range from tales passed down through generations, to new ideas and perspectives by emerging Alaska Native storytellers.  Each carry their own sense of place and purpose with roots that grow deep within one of North America's oldest civilizations.

It begins by listening. From the Elders to Alaska Native youth answering the call, all the way to artifacts from the past - each game within the Never Alone series is only possible because we believe deeply that the games we make are made "with not for" those who entrust us to interpret them.

The Inclusive Development process is built around a consistent sharing of ideas and beliefs that offer players a unique perspective on a living culture.

About E-Line Media

Games are fun.

Games can enlighten and enhance understanding.

Games can open your eyes to both new worlds and the one that is all around you.

While there are individual titles that embrace this approach, there has never been a company built from the ground-up to publish a slate of commercial impact games that fire the imagination, catalyze curiosity, explore meaningful themes, and provide gateways to new perspectives.

With over 15 million players worldwide, the reception of Never Alone: Kisima Ingitchuna launched a movement of social-impact video games.

The game was honored to be included on over 75 “Best of 2014” lists and has seen inclusion in the Smithsonian and Field Museum, is now a permanent part of MoMA's collection, and has won the prestigious Peabody Award for its storytelling, and BAFTA for Best Debut Game.
